We've been helping folks cross borders and build businesses for over a decade
Look, we get it. Dealing with immigration paperwork or setting up cross-border business deals can feel like you're stuck in quicksand. That's exactly why we started this whole thing back in 2012. Our founding partners saw too many talented people and promising businesses get tangled up in red tape, and honestly, it just didn't sit right with us.
Started with just three lawyers in a cramped office on King Street. We had more coffee cups than clients at first, but we knew we were onto something. Our first case was helping a tech startup bring in their lead developer from Brazil - took six months but we got it done.
Moved to Bay Street and doubled our team. Started handling corporate immigration for mid-size companies. Had our first really tough case - a family reunification that seemed impossible. Spent countless nights figuring it out, but seeing them reunited made every late night worth it.
Added international trade to our services. Turns out helping companies navigate NAFTA (RIP) and now USMCA was something we were pretty good at. Also brought on our first multilingual associates - now we operate in 12 languages, which is kinda wild.
COVID threw everyone for a loop, including us. But we adapted fast - went fully remote for client consultations, helped dozens of businesses restructure during lockdowns, and honestly learned we could be way more flexible than we thought. Silver linings and all that.
We're now a team of 18, handling everything from Express Entry applications to multi-million dollar international mergers. Still in that same office on Bay Street - just took over the whole floor. We've helped over 2,000 people make Canada home and assisted countless businesses go global.
We don't sugarcoat things or make promises we can't keep. Immigration law is complicated enough without adding lawyer-speak to the mix. You'll always know where you stand with us.
